  The subconscious JW is a powerful being as indoctrination runs deeeeeeep. Neither here nor there.

  Preaching? For what purpose? All JW's need to ask this question.

  what is the purpose of preaching if not for converts?.

  basically, preaching by the jw's is to make converts.

  this in itself implies that jehovah's witnesses believe that they alone have the only acceptable way to god and that everyone else is just not worthy.

  Let JW.org do whatever preaching is really 'needed'. Also, let them pay for a tv campaign with the money they're raking in with the real estate sales.

  I really tried in one occasion to make non-JW friends but it did not workout. I am a bit of a prude, you see, due to the indoctrination, so when non-JW behavior kicked in on certain joyous times, it just did not agree with my taste.

  Seems like in most of the non-JW world, things like fowl language, smoking, recreational drug use, sexual loose conduct and innuendos, yelling, mock wrestling matches, gambling, excessive drinking, etc., are all viewed as okay.

  NO! It is not okay with me. Actually, is very uncomfortable.

  This coming Sunday we will hang at somebody's house, drop a buck in a jar for the team we support; some will even show up with the colors of their preferred team, have lots of good food, a drink or two and really enjoy a good game. Go Broncos!!! It will be loads of fun!!! 😜

  The 'boring', as considered by most, JW way is just fine by me.

  the bill to prohibit underage marriages has been withdrawn after the council of islamic ideology (cii) declared it un-islamic...and ‘blasphemous’... in may 2014, amid severe criticism from various quarters, the council had endorsed its earlier ruling that girls as young as nine years old were eligible to be married “if the signs of puberty are visible”.....

  If I cared any less about the Bible, what it teaches, God, his purpose for us, the prophets, and any other 'religious' type crap I'd be dead.

  The community, personal interactions, the hanging out thing, hubby, parents, extended family, friends, the click, the good times; that's what's important to me.

  So I have to play the JW game to keep it all together, so it'll be. I'm quite good at it and, by the looks of it, many others trapped within have become quite experts at it themselves.

  Personal integrity..... hmmm.....

  The JW way of life is all I have ever known, it speaks to me and I understand it fully.

  In my complicated situation, I have grown accustomed to viewing/treating the WTBTS as a buffet, taking what I like and avoiding the rest. There is much to be liked and I choose to accentuate that, the very nice social interactions for example.
  

  Good thing my mind is so well compartmenalized that I can find happiness this way. It works for me and so many others trapped inside.
